University Delegations

Welcome

The Vice-Chancellor is the Chief Executive Officer of the University and is charged with the duty of promoting the interests and furthering the development of the University; he is responsible for the academic, administrative, financial, and other business of the University; and exercises a general supervision over the staff and students of the University.  This Delegations website has been designed to clarify how various authorities are delegated by the Vice-Chancellor to members of staff and committees of the university.  I recommend staff refer regularly to the University Delegations in order to clarify who is able to undertake, or sign for, different authorities.  In particular, supervisors should encourage new staff to familiarise themselves with the site.

Bill Louden
Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor
